How do you raise sane human beings?

David Brooks identifies a major problem (if people fall apart nothing else in society will work) and proposes yet another ludicrous scientistic solution (psychology! Yeee, that will do it! It's "scientific" isn't it?)

David was not offering psychology as a solution to a problem, he was using findings in psychology to confirm the problem, which he describes as "distorted lives" resulting from the breakdown of the family. What, exactly, is so ludicrous in this?
