Hope for Our Veterans

A presentation with Nancy ALBIN, Co-founder of Los Angeles Habilitation House, and Margaret LARACY, Psy.D., Assistant Professor, Institute for the Psychological Sciences

Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center

Facing nearly 34,000 returning soldiers from the war, this year will mark nearly 12 years of ongoing conflict in Afghanistan and 10 years in Iraq. Returning to civilian life, these veterans face a myriad of personal challenges, not the least of which is facing the wounds of war that have marked a generation. With one in five veterans homeless in California and an astounding 15 suicides a day, we are left asking ourselves, “Is there hope?” With the help of Los Angeles Habilitation House’s CO-founder, Nancy Albin, and moderator, Dr. Margaret Laracy, we will see how helping vets find employment gives them new gusto amidst the challenge of life.

The event is open to the public and free of charge.
