Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 7:00PM
Witnesses at the beginning of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy
With Fr. Peter John CAMERON, O.P., Editor-in-Chief, Magnificat, Barbara LA PORTE, Mother of Cadet Matthew La Porte, recipient of the Airman Medal for his heroic actions during the April 16, 2007 Virginia Tech shooting, and Rita A. SIMMONDS, Award-winning poet and regular contributor to Magnificat
Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center and The Catholic Center at NYU, in collaboration with Magnificat
With the approach of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, (December 8, 2015 – November 20, 2016) we would like to offer “a true moment of encounter with the mercy of God.” In accord with Pope Francis’s wish that the upcoming Year of Mercy “be a living experience of the closeness of the Father, whose tenderness is almost tangible,” we have invited three people to give witness to their powerful experiences of God’s mercy in their lives.
The event is free and open to the public.
Magnificat Year of Mercy Companion will be available for purchase.
