Van Gogh: Seduced by Beauty

The journey of van Gogh's life and art...in his own words.

A dramatic reading of the letters of van Gogh with Dr. Francis GREENE, Art Historian

Presented by Crossroads Cultural Center and the American Bible Society

Few people allow themselves to be enticed by the wonder and awe of reality; Vincent van Gogh was one of them. “In the stars, as well as in the everyday facets of the simple life of the peasants, van Gogh tried to capture what he perceived of the infinite, in an unceasing search for beauty,” Kathleen Erickson.

Through a dramatic reading of van Gogh's letters to his brother, Theo, we will understand the art and life of one of the most influential post-impressionist painters of the 20th Century, an artist who continues to challenge us to seize what lies beyond a starry night.

The event is open to the public and free of charge.
